Vintage Vick's Cloisonné (Converted) Brooch-Pendant Collection

This is a beautiful of collection vintage cloisonné brooches I converted into necklaces from the 1970s to 1980s. Cloisonné is the art of applying a delicate wire, usually gold, silver or brass intricately to create a design, then the “pockets” are filled with glass, enamel or gemstones, and kiln-fired to fill the void creating a beautiful textured colorful pattern or design. The technique originates from the Byzantine Empire and its popularity spread into China and Japan in the following years. The 1970s and 80s saw a Cloisonné Revival in the Western world. I have been collecting these gorgeous costume jewelry pieces since I was a kid. I like to convert the brooches into wearable pendant necklaces with 18-20” colorful, inexpensive beaded chain to allow the colors to POP. I also let folks know that they can always upgrade the chain on their own if they so choose This helps to keep the items affordable and adorable! The brooches are still intact if you should wish to convert back. All vintage cloisonné items come with a Storybox.
